Help For The Holidays

It’s the season of giving! Partner with Urban Ministries of Durham to help our neighbors in need share in the festivities.

Maximize your impact by collaborating with us on holiday projects that go the extra mile to fight poverty and end homelessness! Working together ensures that we all uphold UMD’s core values of respect, collaboration, and accountability.

Purchase specific gifts for adults staying in our shelter (highest need)

UMD hosts a holiday party and it’s important that the adults staying in the shelter are included in the festive season by receiving gifts of necessities during the holidays.

Donate wrapping supplies

only include gift bags (I think we can keep the heading just to make it clear that we don’t want filled gift bags, in addition to the reality that by Christmas they might change the list of what they want again.

Purchase gifts for our toy shop

UMD hosts a toy shop for the nine families staying in our Community Shelter. We also open up the shop to adult clients seeking to provide a gift for a special child in their life and to those who visit our Food Pantry and Clothing Closet.
